    Early Life and Career

    Ikuta Toma was born on Hokkaido, Japan on October 7, 1984.

    From a family of four, including his father, mother Hiroko, and younger brother Ryuusei, Toma's childhood was marked by a love for the arts. At age 12, he joined the children's idol group "Strawberry Parfait" and appeared on the popular variety show "Tensai Terebi kun."

    Debut as a Johnny's Jr.

    In 1996, Toma was scouted by Johnny Kitagawa, founder of the entertainment agency Johnny & Associates.

    He was soon placed in the junior group "M.A.I.N." alongside future members of the boy band Arashi. In 1998, he became part of the larger junior group "B.I.G.," which eventually dwindled to a duo with YamaPi (Tomohisa Yamashita).
