    Blackbear was Comanche.

    Francis Tsate Kongia/Blackbear Bosin was born in 1921 on the Kiowa Comanche Reservation in Caddo, Oklahoma to Frank Bosin, a Kiowa and Ada Tivis, a Comanche.[1] He married Ruth Johnson about 1937.

    By 1940 they had two daughters, Rowena and Patricia. [2] The couple moved to Wichita, Kansas and had two sons Niles and Frank, Jr. Frank enlisted in the Marines in 1943.
